Actors Shruti Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi teamed up for the first time in the upcoming Tamil film Laabam whose official launch ceremony took place on Monday in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu.

According to a statement released by the makers, the film will be directed by award-winning national director SP Jananathan, known for his films such as Iyarkai and Purampokku .
