Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, April 23, Written Update: Naira files a lawsuit against the police against Puru

Villa Goenka is ready to attend the wedding of Samarth and Gayu. Everyone is ready to see the couple get married, but before the ceremony, Dadi wants to do something that should have been done for a long time.

Dadi, who was protecting his younger brother Purushottam Ajmera (Puru) during all this time, decides to expose him and punish him for his misdeeds. Dadi removes his headgear (Pagdi, symbol of dignity and pride for men) stating that he does not deserve respect.

Everyone is shocked to see Dadi take such a drastic step by wondering why such treatment is being applied to Puru. Dadi asks Naira to recount Puru's misdeeds and to show the video clip where he admits to having misbehaved behaviors with Mansi and other women.

Kartik joins Naira to expose Puru and calls the police to arrest him. Surekha and Akhil, Mansi's parents became angry after learning what Puru had done to their daughter. Akhil blames Puru for inappropriately touching his daughter and Surekha cries uncontrollably.

Ila, Puru's only daughter, is shocked to know the true character of her father. She is ashamed of him and confronts him for committing an injustice towards other women. She questions her integrity and asks her if he took advantage of the women to help them.

He burns one of his photographs with his father and declares that he died for her. After the police arrested Puru and took him away, Ila broke down. Naira and Kartik console her while she feels guilty and ashamed to be Puru's daughter.

Later, she apologized to Naira for thinking that she was trying to imply her father's misconduct wrongfully. Naira comforts Ila and asks him not to feel guilty, because it's not his fault.

The Goenkas are standing firmly together at the moment, to support the girls in the house. So, Mansi gets justice.
