Actor Varun Dhawan reportedly postponed his engagement and focused on his next project, Coolie No 1, which would bring him together with father and director David Dhawan. Varun was to be engaged to longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal on her birthday on April 24th.
A source quoted by Deccan Chronicle reportedly stated, "We had heard that the plan was to announce the coolie # 1 and bring Varun's girlfriend, Natasha on the scene as a bahu from the Dhawan family. But there were changes of plan at the last minute and Varun fled the country for his birthday with his girlfriend.
Varun's latest film, the vintage drama Kalank, underperformed at the box office. The film is struggling to break the Rs 100 crore mark in the country, despite an announced budget of 150 crores. The actor recently announced that he would play a lead role in a new design of the 1995 comedy film Coolie No 1, in which Govinda starred. This is the second time in a row that Varun and David have worked together, after the success of Judwaa 2.

The actor is often seen in public with Natasha and was photographed to celebrate Holi with her. On her birthday, she left him a romantic note in his Instagram stories.
