Twinkle Khanna clarified that the fact of having responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments about her in a recent interview does not mean that she supports the ruling party.

On Wednesday, Akshay Kumar became an interviewer for a "frank and totally non-political" conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the conversation, the Prime Minister joked that he was the reason for the happy married life of the actor.
"Hand aapka bhi Twitter dekhta hoon aur Twinkle Khanna ji ka Twitter dekhta hoon Kabhi kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki woh up up gussa nikaalti hai Twitter pe, we are calling us karan aapke parivaarik jeevan mein badi shaanti rehti hogi una pura gussa mujpe nikal jaata hoga isliye aapko araam rehta hoga Toh is a prakaar himself main aapke kaam aaya hoon, laughed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Twinkle, known for his outspokenness, replied: "I have a rather positive way of seeing things.The Prime Minister is not only aware of my existence but he is actually reading my work," writes -he.
Akshay revealed in an interview with Hindustan Times that PM Narendra Modi's light excavations at Twinkle put him at a dead end. I did not know where to look. His spirit and the very sporty way he told me puzzled me. I did not know what to say. I could only laugh embarrbadingly and I thought: ek taraf biwi, ek taraf desh ka Pradhan Mantri. Both have powerful portfolios in my life. It's best to stay quiet ", he said.
