A woman from eastern China found herself in the emergency room after screaming uncontrollably about "Avengers: Endgame".
The fan, a 21-year-old student, is so mocked by the movies that she began to hyperventilate.
The woman had difficulty breathing and suffered chest pains. She also had muscle spasms, which gave her the stiffness of her fingers, like chicken claws.
"I saw the patient who was struggling to breathe. According to her peers, she cried too much, so she began to hyperventilate, "said a doctor from the Mingzhou Hospital of Zhejiang University.
Hyperventilation is a state of deep and rapid breathing resulting in excess oxygen and a decrease in carbon dioxide in the blood. Doctors usually recommend pinched breathing, but extreme cases require urgent medical attention.
After having calmed down, the woman received oxygen, which gradually helped her to restore the gases in the blood. "By calming his emotions and giving him oxygen, we managed to control his breathing and relieve his symptoms," said the doctor.
The unconditional fan, who lives in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, was released from the hospital.
