Spoilers to come for Game of Thrones, Season 8, Episode 3, "The Long Night".
As we enter the second part of Game of Thrones' final season our heroes faced one of two major wars that occurred during the series. The great war against the undead ended, there are more major survivors than expected, but the number of heroes has been greatly reduced by the incredible badault of monsters. Daenerys will now probably head south on King's Landing to claim the iron throne, but his forces (and his claim to Westeros' power) have been seriously weakened in recent episodes. In the epic fight against Cersei that is still to come, who has numbers in their favor?
Fortunately, some diligent redditors have been paying a lot of attention in past seasons and have taken stock of what we know about the size of Daenerys and Cersei's armies. Before the Battle of Winterfell, Daenerys had about 10,000 inhabitants of the North, 10,000 of Vale, less than 8,000 Unsullied and less than 100,000 Dothraki (a figure cited by Jorah in Season 6). We saw what was apparently all that the Dothraki had extinguished by the apostles, and we know that the Unsullied and Jon forces also suffered heavy losses. The episode of the battle, "The Long Night," was shot in such a dark and confusing way that it is difficult to count with the last count of survivors, but we know at least that these people have survived: Jaime, Brienne, Daenerys and his two living dragons. , Arya, Gendry, The Hound, Jon Snow and his werewolf, Podrick, Samwell Tarly, Tyrion, Tormund, Sansa, Gray Worm and what's left of the Unsullied, Missandei, Varys and probably all the Dothraki who managed to survive at the first wave of weights. We have hardly seen other North Americans gone to battle, but Daenerys can probably buy a few thousand for his army.
The real key to the second battle will be the two dragons and the fighting prowess of Arya, Jon Snow, Brienne. and all of Dany's remaining army in Essos. We have not seen Bronn yet, although he has been sent on an badbadination mission to finish off Tyrion and Jaime. But if they survive, they could also complicate Cersei's plans, given their knowledge.
On the side of Cersei, it has 20,000 men from the Golden Company (at a high cost to the Crown), a small army of Lannister probably fewer than 10,000 soldiers, and about 30,000 Ironborn from Euron. She also probably has more ships than Daenerys, knowing that Euron has built 900, as was revealed at the beginning of season 7. Before the Battle of Winterfell, Cersei's army would have been submerged by the mbadive number of Dothraki soldiers – but she now has the advantage figures. It seems that his decision to be sneaky and selfish in not sending his army to the North to repel the undead has served him well. It's a little disappointing: Jon had already explained that White Walker's threat posed a serious threat to Daenerys, but now it seems that she was right to say that Cersei was the real enemy.
A little difficult to reconcile the metaphor of climate change with Cersei totally ignoring White Walker's threat and not suffering any negative consequences for it

In addition to the numbers, Cersei could also have more forest fires, in addition to the stores that she used to blow up the Seven of Baelor in season 6. And then there are the necromancy experiments of Qyburn, which have brought the mountain back from the dead. We will probably also have the long-awaited wait for Cleganebowl, where the Clegane brothers face off – The Hound panicked after being panicked after being too close to the fire, because of the trauma that the mountain is causing him to face. inflicted in his childhood, but he apparently survived the battle. And the mountain will certainly be alongside Cersei as a powerful chess piece in his army.
Yet, the undead army was wiped out and most of the major heroes still alive, including two Targaryens to ride two big and ferocious. Dragons, Cersei do not have an easy fight in front of her. If the season and a half has been an indication, it seems like the good guys will override Game of Thrones even though it has a cost.
Correction April 29, 1: 20:00 ET: This article has been corrected to indicate that the 100,000 Daenerys Dothraki soldiers have suffered casualties in past battles and have probably seen their numbers decrease.
