Dayanand Shetty of the CID, better known as Daya, whose singular work in the series consisted of breaking doors, seems to be caught in his reputation. The actor and his propensity to "darwaza tod do" have now been transformed into a meme by Twitter's ever-creative minds. CID is considered to be the oldest show in India since its debut in 1998. Besides Daya, the show also stars Shivaji Satam as the ACP Pradyuman, the main inspectors Abhijeet, Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks and Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe. The five actors have been working together on the series for almost two decades and have inspired individual memes on social networks.
