The war is here and you can not leave the eyes

This episode presents the war against the army of undead. . It takes place before dawn and ends when the sun rises.

There is a lot of blood shed, some named characters perish, while others survive surprisingly.

The undead army is as powerful as everyone thought and even with their Valyrian steel, Dragonglbad and two dragons, the living struggle to survive.

Dothraki

Hello! Dothraki. Goodbye, Dothraki

In a previous episode, we were told that "Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field".

Perhaps this statement applies only to living beings because, after a very heroic entry with weapons on fire, the entire army of Dothraki is completely decimated in minutes by the horde of Wight.

This is the exact moment when we understand the force of the White Walker army.

Brutal!

The Red Woman Will Finally Get Her Redemption

Melisandre? The priestess who almost helped Stannis take control of Westeros but ended up getting him burned alive?

After watching this episode, you might be able to hate it a bit less because it is one of the main players in this war. She helps the living by lighting magic fires and motivating Arya in her real goals.

Battle of the Dragons

The battle of the dragons we were waiting for was, meh!

Jon, Dany and the King of the Night have an aerial battle and although the graphics are of exceptional quality, the battle itself could have been better.

Dany places his dragon on the ground, in the middle of the undead army, where he is surrounded by hundreds of warriors and is wounded.

Jon falls from his dragon and towards the end of the episode, shouts to an undead Viserion!

Many Characters Do Nothing at All

Unusual Characters

Many Characters Do Nothing at All

Bran focuses mostly on some crows while all those who protect him end up .

Sansa, Tyrion, Missandei, Varys and anonymous characters are scared in the crypts.

At one point, Sansa hears cries of people dying, shouting, "Open the door" and do nothing!

Tyrion laughs and viewers can feel the heat between him and Sansa. Maybe they'll get married again!

Heroes

Some characters face a heroic end

Beric Dondarrion dies while protecting Arya, Jorah Mormont dies protecting Daenerys and Theon by dying while protecting Bran. They can not say one last word.

However, the most heroic death was that of Lyanna Mormont. The legitimate little bear kills a giant of the undead (Wun-Wun?) In his last moments!

It was frankly shocking to see Brienne, Jaime, Samwell and Greyworm survive the badault.

They were saved by the plot.

How do you win against an enemy who can not die?

Plot Armor

How do you win against an enemy who can not die?

It's simple. You win with the help of deus-ex-machina.

At a shocking and unpredictable moment, Arya comes out of nowhere (she is a faceless murderer) and, while the king of the night is about to kill (?) Bran, the sting of his dagger.

So, every White Walker, Wight and, of course, the king of the night is destroyed.

Unexpected, but very satisfying to watch!

Verdict

Opinion: This episode will definitely drive fans of books

Fans of the series will enjoy the episode through fantastic graphics, at least when the lighting is optimal and some arches of good character.

The book reader will wait (and should) wait for the new books because George RR Martin will certainly treat the story differently.

Verdict: According to this episode, the series is being badaulted by a writing of bad quality.
