Katrina broke with Ranbir: I had to take full responsibility for my role in the equation

Recently Katrina Kaif recounted that her break with Ranbir Kapoor was described as a "blessing". The actress, known for her professionalism and selectivity in warming up within the industry, was first informed that she frequented Ranbir during filming Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in 2009.

She spoke at length about this stage of her life in an interview with Mumbai Mirror.

"I had to pause before I could rebuild myself, I had to unravel and feel that everything that had happened made me totally responsible for my role in the equation, which I could have and had to do better, and accept that the roles I was not responsible for are not my problem, "said the actress.

The actress also said that one should never get lost in a relationship and "must protect and preserve one's individuality".
"Your self-esteem comes from within and not from another person.You come alone into this world and you leave it alone.This is something you should not lose sight of" , added the actress.

Although Ranbir and Katrina never have confessed to having a romantic relationship, but both had repeatedly stressed in their interviews.

While Katrina is currently single, Ranbir now attends actress Alia Bhatt. The two also work together in Brahmastra by Ayan Mukerji.

Katrina, meanwhile, will be seen at Salman Khan-starrer Bharat . The film will be released in cinemas on June 5th.
