With Game of Thrones episode 3 of season 8 – "The Long Night" – the great battle of Winterfell is over. Whether you're part of the fans who could not help but marvel at its perfection or who thought it was disappointing and anti-climax, you'll worry about what's next.

Does Daenerys have the support of whom?

That leaves Brienne, the Dog – and more importantly, the Stark House. Sansa Stark, unlike Jon, has made no vow of allegiance to Daenerys. As Lady of Winterfell, the Stark Banners (or what's left of it) will follow Sansa's example. Lord Glover, who was safe at Deepwood Motte while the Battle of Winterfell was raging, could at least now follow through on his promise to help the Starks. Sansa and Arya do not have a great love for Daenerys and could be motivated to keep the North free from his future empire. But their desire for revenge against Cersei would be even more damning. What about the dog? Sandor Clegane promised his older brother – The Mountain – during the parade in the dragon post that he would bring him down. . That leaves us with Jaime's question. Jaime came north because he had promised to fight for life. And he has acquitted himself of his courage in the battle. And now? Does he go back to Cersei? Or does he fight for Daenerys and fight his sister's forces on the battlefield?
Is Jaime going to kill Cersei at a "crazy king moment"?
It seems that there are at least two possibilities to give a narrative meaning:
1. For Jaime to have a "crazy king moment" with Cersei during the last hours of the last war. If Daenerys' forces reach the gates of King's Landing, it seems plausible that Cersei is asking that the forest fire caches hidden beneath the city's main arteries be set on fire. Qyburn would be only too happy to apply. It could be up to Jaime to prevent the horror from being executed by killing Cersei.
Cersei would rather destroy herself and all that she governs than let her enemies triumph. She was ready to kill herself and kill Tommen when it seemed that the city would fall under the control of Stannis Baratheon during the Battle of Blackwater Bay. There would be some symmetry to this, as well as the fulfillment of the famous "prophecy of Valonqar" (although it is not the one that was mentioned in the series) on the murder of Cersei by her / the little brother". Being killed by the man who loved him would also be a happy ending for Cersei, who for better or for worse, was one of the most powerful characters in Game of Thrones . 2. The second result is that Jaime dies during the battle. If he's fighting for Cersei, then maybe by Brienne's hand. If he fights against Cersei, he may die in the arms of Brienne. Daenerys did not seem happy about suddenly having a nephew whose existence she did not know. And yet, he had had a rather disturbing glimpse of what Daenerys' vengeance might entail. He had to convince her at least twice (during the second Siege of Meereen and the conquest of Westeros) that the fire of an entire city with his dragons was not the best way to follow for a leader. He had trouble convincing Daenerys to engage in such matters as who will be his successor. And he also – very unfairly – repeatedly questioned his loyalty.
A fortuitous remark of Sansa in the crypts when they shelter during the Great Battle of Winterfell gives an idea of the future of Tyrion. Sansa told Tyrion that they would never work as a couple, because " your divided loyalties would be a problem ". It will be the cross of Tyrion to bear. No matter how much she tormented him, Cersei is still his sister. And if Jaime returns to his side, Tyrion may not have the courage to fight against his brother again. Will this – combined with some fears about Daenerys' ability to govern – be enough to push Tyrion over the limit and make him change sides?

It also seems that Tyrion himself has been in love with Daenerys for some time. Daenerys could win the iron throne, but it will be too expensive. She will lose everyone and everything that is dear to her in the quest to win it.
