With Mahesh Babu starring 'Maharshi' directed by ace filmmaker Vamshi Paidapally set to hit the screens soon, the latest is that movie could be remade in Tamil. The buzz is that the remake will feature actor Vijay in the lead. Interestingly, Vijay has earlier acted in the Tamil remakes of Mahesh Babu's Okkadu and Pokkiri, which were titled Ghilli and Pokkiri in Tamil. If Thalapathy Vijay decided to act in the remake of Maharshi, it would be his third remake of a Mahesh Babu movie.

Maharshi is an emotional drama that revolves around the issue of organic farming. It features Aravinda Sametha beauty Pooja Hegde as the female lead and marks her first collaboration with Mahesh Babu. Actors Jagapathi Babu and Allari Naresh too are a part of the cast. The movie is produced by Dil Raju, Ashwini C. Dutt and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema.
