That concludes the 2019 Billboard Music Awards! This year's show featured compelling performances, but even more inspiring speeches, with many artists using their acceptance speeches to spread love and positivity – and in tribute to Arya Stark.

Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie, the animated film that opened the way for them
The couple started the show in a colorful way, bringing their fantasy "ME!" Video clip to life with a fanfare, pastel outfits and even umbrellas of style by Mary Poppin . Although the song was released just a few days ago, Urie and Swift performed "Me!" As they had been practicing it for months. Even if they did, their energy was contagious.

The Dan Reynolds Appeal to End Conversion Processing
Several of the winners of the night were used their acceptance speeches to spread a positive message, starting with Imagine Dragons: Singer Dan Reynolds took advantage of the best rock artist's victory to inform about the negative effects of conversion therapy, calling on fans to urge lawmakers in their states to protect LGBTQ youth: "I just want to take this moment to say that there are still 34 states that do not have the l oi prohibiting conversion therapy … in addition to those 58% of the LGBTQ population living there, "he said. The son of Ciara stole the show
Unsurprisingly, Ciara crushed his performance. from "Thinkin Bout You", nailing every second of the choreography and sounding good. But it was his son, Future Zahir, who caught everyone's attention as he danced on Russell Wilson's shoulders in an elegant jumpsuit and aviator sunglbades. Even before the show, though, Future was talking about Twitter, since he was posing BTS on the red carpet.

Drake's props to Arya Stark
During the first of Drake's three acceptance speeches, the rapper thanked those who helped make Scorpion – for which he won the Billboard 200's debut album – a triumph. Before leaving the stage, he thanked the real MVP: "Thanks to Arya Stark for this work done last week," he said, even using his trophy as a sword. (If you have not watched Game of Thrones this week, consider calling Drake as a sign that you should probably do it.)

Even after two breathtaking performances on Coachella's two weekends, Grande managed to knock out the house with her pink, soaked performance of "7 Rings". She did not need * NSYNC or Justin Bieber this time. hitting each note and lock while nailing each note.

The acceptance speeches without filter Cardi B (with honorable mention for his abs)
There was virtually no challenge to the energy brought by Cardi B on the stage while she was accepting her two awards. In his first speech of thanks for the top rap song – during which his six pack was on display – the rapper "I Like It" hilariously called a member of the public for the cut. Later, as she accepted the Top 100 Best Songs Award in the name of "Girls Like You", she celebrated her congratulations with a Cardi clbadic.

Starry eyes of Maluma for Mariah
After tore the scene with Madonna for their new "Medellin" collab, Maluma showed that he was just as happy to be in the presence of another legend, Mariah Carey. The cameras surprised the Latin star singing, but viewers especially noticed how she looked at it:

Few time after, Urie interpreted his high-energy tube "Hey Look Ma, I did it", panic! At the disco, the voracious singing materialized by accepting the price of the best rock song (ironically for "High Hopes"). Las Vegas' parents were in the audience, giving him an opportunity to say literally, "Look, I've done it!"

The Impressive Dance Steps of Paula Abdul
In closing the show with a mixture of backtracking, Abdul showed that you can still dance like Ciara when you are in your fifties. While the superstar delivered titles such as "Opposites Attract" and "Forever Your Girl", she displayed her fearlessness by jumping off platforms and serving as a human pendulum, astonishing everyone who watched her – and proving that she was the only one to watch. Once you're a Billboard star, you're still a Billboard star.
