Before the release of each episode of the primary saga Star Wars there is a collection of books leading to the arrival of the film itself. This year is no different since the range of books on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has just been announced. But that's not the coolest revelation today.
Like all the films of Star Wars there will be The Art of Star Wars The rise of Skywalker the time the film hits the theaters. Not only has the release date of this book been announced today, but the art of the cover reveals what could be an incredible and senseless lightsaber battle that we do not look like any other than the one that the saga has never seen. Discover it below.
The Art of Star Wars Book The Rise of Skywalker
As you can see, the art Conceptual cover features Rey and Kylo Ren who face each other with their lightsabers. At first glance, it seems like it's just a cool juxtaposition of the two characters in a visually cool way. But if you look again, you will see that the reflection of Kylo Ren in a body of water violently hits the lightsabers, Rey standing on the shore. Do not forget that it is not a form of promotional art intended for a t-shirt, a collectible card or something of the sort. This is an official concept, so this moment has to be something that happens in the movie. But how is this scene possible?
Well, one option is that it's another type of force vision similar to the one that Luke Skywalker had in Dagobah's cave in The Empire Strikes Back. In this vision, Luke fought a lightsaber with Darth Vader before slicing his head and revealing Luke's face inside the helmet. It is not impossible that Rey has a similar vision of the Force as she prepares to face her rival again. But there is another intriguing option that would continue to advance to the power of the Force, presented by director Rian Johnson in Star Wars: The Last Jedi .
In the last episode of the Skywalker saga, the idea of force projections were introduced. Rey and Kylo Ren were both able to see each other during a conference call through the Force system. They even almost touched the Force before Luke enters Rey and Kylo on Ahch-To. Luke then took the Force projection to a higher level by doing it across the galaxy, prompting Kylo Ren to think that he was on Crait with the Resistance. What if Rey and Kylo push this concept to an even higher level of power?
The artistic concept shows the two in conflict with their lightsabers, although Kylo Ren is not there yet. So what if the two, each extremely powerful in the Force, have some kind of confrontation through the Force? It could be incredibly cool, and a sequence like this was emitted by leaks here and there from people working on production. We will have to wait to see how this will happen when the film arrives on on December 20, 2019 .
