Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Rishi Kapoor said, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US But God was nice, I'm in remission, which means I do not suffer from Cancer."

Despite the absence of cancer, there remains little medical treatment to Rishi Kapoor so that he can return home to India.

He added, "I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which should take at least another two months."
