Actor Will Smith says that he found it stressful and discouraging to play the role of Genie in the live remake of Disney's clbadic "Aladdin".
The actor felt that the "spectacular" show given by the late Robin Williams had the role in the animated original of 1992 has turned out to be a very hard shadow to leave.
"It was quite stressful and intimidating – Robin Williams did not leave much room for improving the genius," Smith said.
"You know that's what Robin Williams gave to the genie, which was spectacular, and that's what I worked very hard to capture, but give it my taste.

Williams voiced Genie in "Aladdin" original as well as in the third film of the original franchise "Aladdin And The King Of The Thieves".
He was not in the first sequel, "The Return Of Jafar", because of a contractual dispute with Disney.
After coming back for the third film, Williams voiced Genie in the miniseries of the character He died in 2014.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, the live adaptation of "Aladdin" also puts starring Mena Mbadoud in Aladdin, Naomi Scott in Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari in Jafar. opened in India on May 24 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
