Ekta Kapoor has combined two genres, comedy and eroticism , to produce Ragini MMS. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala, Ragini MMS was loosely inspired from Stephen King's game in Gerald Game.

After the success of Ragini MMS, Ekta Kapoor released several sequels of the film, the latest with Divya Agarwal and Varun Sood. Balaji, Ragini MMS Returns 2 will be the fourth project of the franchise.

In 2014, Ragini MMS is back with the Ragini MMS 2 sequel, starring Sunny Leone, which has been a huge success. In 2017, Ekta Kapoor produced Ragini MMS returns with Dilnaz Irani as e new Ragini. Now the franchise has turned Ragini MMS into a Web series on ALT Balaji.

The teaser of the new series was released Friday. Divya and Varun are stars of reality TV having been famous with Splistvilla and Roadies. They were seen for the first time together in Ace of Space, where they confessed their feelings for each other.
