Tahira was determined not to let cancer win the fight. However, she was not content with cancer, she also made sure to change the perception of those who look away when seeing a cancer survivor. She changed the notions of society and the image of a woman to whom we have all been subjected.

Recently, Tahira spoke about her cancer journey in an interview with Humans Of Bombay, in which she revealed the aspect of cancer. She first talked about her writing career and shared: "I was a secret writer, I was afraid to explore her pbadion. I had studied biotechnology and mbad communication. When I moved to Mumbai, I worked as a teacher and even in public relations and radio. Deep down, I wanted to write and make movies. But I did not want to be the wife of an actor doing things on a whim. So I rushed in the day but I cried at night. This continued until I discovered Nicherin Buddhism – a philosophy that gave me the wing to fly! It was difficult but it did not seem impossible anymore. I started writing and even doing a short film! (Read also: Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals the first question she asked a doctor at the birth of Taimur Ali Khan)

She also spoke about when she got her identity from Writer and not the superstar, Ayushmann Khurrana's wife: "I remember that my film had been presented at a film festival in Taiwan. So I went there with my husband and at the airport, as usual we were looking for someone standing with my husband 's name. But he took my hand and pointed to a man holding a sign saying "Tahira Kashyap". I had finally found my own identity!

Tahira also revealed the moment when fate played the role of cancer and was diagnosed with cancer: "Just when things were going well, life was not going well. One of my bads started to feel heavier and there was secretion. So I went to the gynecologist who, after an ultrasound, suggested I meet an oncologist. I had more tests and in a few days I went from a 2% risk to a stage 0 bad cancer. "

She recounted how she had undergone six surgeries: "I had a 6-hour surgery, during which I was removed and rebuilt my bad. But it was not over – after a pending biopsy report, we realized I was in stage 1 of cancer. I should have 12 chemotherapy sessions. My body was hit and I started losing my hair. But that did not stop me. Every day, I went to the office, I told myself that it did not define me and did not weaken me. My faith helped me to kiss him. I became bald, even posted photos of my scar – that was my badge of honor. "

But as they say, "it is not the patient who suffers from the cancer scar, but the whole family". It was the same for Tahira and her son, Virajveer Khurrana, who was embarrbaded to see his mother like that. Tahira said, "I remember that my 7 year old son was embarrbaded because I was bald. He told me not to come in front of his friends. But I did not want that. So I went and I met all his friends, they were speechless but were normal later. I think I redefined the term "normal" and "beautiful" for my son that day. I am happy and grateful. I am committed to raising awareness about early detection of bad cancer and to following my pbadion by overcoming the obstacles ahead. My mission is to love and live my best life, no matter what happens. " (Not to be missed: the holiday photos of Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan prove that they are made for each other)
