The actual error of GoT occurred during last week's episode, the penultimate third of the epic series, when the misplaced cup (presumed to be Starbucks immediately) appeared on a table in Winterfell's grand lobby for about 17 minutes, as Tormund Giants warmed his friend Jon Snow to celebrate their victory over the king of the night. Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen is also clearly visible, sitting at the table and overseeing the exchange.
For the record, HBO took the error in stride. "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake," said the network in a statement. "Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea."
