Warning: the spoilers in front of you
Here is the problem. Game of Thrones fans know this exercise now. We expected Cleganebowl (RIP, The Hound Sandor). We even expected Daenerys to go to Targaryen and do something naughty (but perhaps not as bad as burning a city populated with innocents after the bell of surrender). We were not surprised that Jaime Lannister wants to return to the arms of his beloved sister Cersei, nor that they are dying together.
Not that there were no surprises. Many were hoping for a confrontation between Arya and Cersei and it would have been great if our worst suspicions about Dany (and those of Tyrion, Jon and Varys) were not realized. Indeed, episode 5 of the season 8- the penultimate, never – was full of action (including several bloody battle scenes).
But among all this, expected and unexpected, there was something in the end that nobody lives. It was … a horse. When Arya, bleeding and stained by the fall of the red dungeon, came out of the rubble, she saw a beautiful white horse stand in the middle of it all. There was blood on his leg, so it was clearly not just an apparition (although it is possible that Arya's imagination is bloody for the rest of his days) . So … what was it? And, more importantly, where was it hidden? Many people could have been saved, Mr. Horse. It's selfish!
Twitter had no idea who the horse was. Did he symbolize peace? Was he the new candidate for the throne? Should Arya go up to the old city? Probably. Here are the best tweets and even about the mysterious game horse Game of Thrones .
