Five takeaways from Shair Kapoor's caravan, Kabir Singh

The trailer of Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, Kabir Singh, released on Monday and promising a powerful performance of Shahid, who plays the main role in the romantic drama.

Although it is too early to make comparisons, when you redo an original, these same comparisons are inevitable. Kabir Singh is an official remake of the super Telit Arjun Reddy, in which Vijay Deverakonda was in the lead. While Kabir Singh's cast is new, the same filmmaker (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) has also been chosen to direct the Hindi version.

Here are our five takeaways from the trailer of Kabir Singh:

The tone of the film

The director of Kabir Singh and that of Arjun Reddy being identical, there is not much difference of tone in the movies. Or at least, that's the way things are now. From the background score to the dialogues, Kabir Singh seems to be a replica of Bollywood's original. But it is not necessarily a bad thing.

The first question that arises is this: is there really a conflict between the two characters? ? They seem to look alike and it works well in the trailer. You give Shahid fans a new Shahid and fans of the original another significant performance.

Shahid Kapoor

The film is mainly based on Shahid's shoulders. He is supposed to be angry, young, heartbroken and still drunk. And in just two minutes, the trailer actually shows all these facets of Shahid's character. One can not doubt the fact that Shahid is a credible actor, and now armed with what appears to be a good screenplay and a decent director, it remains to see Shahid's own interpretation of this beloved character.

Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani embodies the role of Shalini Pandey as a young and innocent lover of Shahid Kabir. And that might not seem so, but the role of the female lead is considerable in the film. Now, the million dollar question is: Can Kiara Advani justify her role? She has not yet left her mark on Bollywood with her chops. That should do it. For now, we can say that she does not feel at home in the clip. Chemistry

Chemistry is something you can not imitate. You can only hope that magic will appear on the screen. It all boils down to one thing: if you are a good actor, you can do it. While Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey were on fire, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani emit only a few sparks. But then, we only saw the trailer, as Shah Rukh Khan once said: "Picture abhi baaki hai pure dost!"

Kabir Singh was released on June 21st.
