Yes, there is a tenth month of pregnancy and I am living it now. So many people have tried to correct me in one of my last posts, thinking that I might have accidentally written 10th instead of 9th. No it was not an accident. The logic suggests that the 10th month begins after the end of the 9th month. After 36 weeks of pregnancy, the baby is officially ready to enter this world. A 40-week period is considered a complete period and this is what happens when the doctor gives you an estimated deadline. The due date is still ESTIMATED because no one can predict when the baby will arrive. It is extremely common and quite normal for women to reach 42 weeks before the start of natural work … especially if it's a second pregnancy … and once you've gone through 38/39 weeks, your tenth month start. So, while my stopwatch is ringing, I could go into work immediately or a week later … I'm not worried. Because I know that once the baby has arrived, my hands will be full! And I think it's the perfect time to say that it's always the baby who decides when the work starts.
