Tiger Shroff, a Bollywood actor, is not one to follow the pack. At a time when his colleagues in the industry are happily exploring the Web space, the actor clearly says he is not ready yet.
"The Web is a big no for me right now," he says quickly adding that it was not like he had nothing against the support. "Hat to the successful internet users. There are so many good shows and films in progress. I have tremendous respect for the medium but I do not want to be a part of it at the moment. Nothing can match the impact of a big screen. When you go watch a movie at the theater, it has an impact larger than life. I love cinema and I would like to focus on it for now, "says Tiger. Meanwhile, the actor is pleased with the way his latest film, Student Of The Year 2 is being received. "We are very grateful for the opening of our film and we especially thank everyone who has supported and planted love in our film," said Tiger, whose next project will be directed by Sidharth Anand.
The film also stars Hrithik Roshan and Tiger, while expressing admiration for the main actor, qualifies his idol as Hrithik. Tiger seems excited when he talks about Hrithik, especially when talking to him about the much talked about dance that is part of the movie. "I'm intimidated by him," he says with a smile, "My next film is my biggest challenge. I face my hero … I call me stationebo ka Hrithik Roshan, so there is already a comparison (smiles). It's an honor for me to be in the same setting as him. We still have to shoot the dance-off. It's too hot right now, so we've postponed it. But I am both excited and nervous about it. "
Apart from the film, there is also talk of Tiger making his Hollywood debut soon. He has many offers and he could soon say yes to a big budget movie. According to sources, Lawrence Kasanoff, producer of the Mortal Kombat series, reportedly recently made a secret visit to Mumbai and met Tiger to discuss the project. However, nothing has been finalized yet and Tiger is not ready to reveal a lot.
When asked what prevented him from making an international film, he replied, "Nothing stops me. I could end up doing one soon. But for now, this is the initial phase, the discussions are ongoing and I can not talk about it. It's an action movie … let's see when we can get things done, "he says.
