Rangoli Chandel, the sister of actress Kangana Ranaut, filed a petition in front of the Versova Police Station, claiming that her sister had been exploited and abused by actor Aditya Pancholi at least a decade ago. Pancholi, in turn, filed a counterclaim at the same police station, claiming that Ranaut's lawyer had threatened to press charges against him for rape.
"We asked them both to record their statements. We will conduct an investigation before registering a RIP, "said a senior officer at the police station.
Ranaut, during several interviews in 2017, accused Pancholi of having physically and badually badaulted her while she was new to the film industry. She claimed that he kept her confined to the house and that she had to escape by jumping out the first floor window. After the allegations, Pancholi brought an action for defamation against Ranaut.
Tuesday, Pancholi said: "In response to the defamation case, Kangana, Rangoli and their lawyer, Rizwan Siddique, have decided to file suit. Siddique even threatened a rape case on January 6, 2019. "
Pancholi claimed that he had a number of videos and phone recordings which would show that Siddique was threatening him. His statement was recorded Sunday. "I submitted my application to the police against Siddique, Kangana and Rangoli earlier this month. I submitted the video to the police station and the court. bad is the worst kind of crime that can happen [to any woman]"he said.

According to sources, Rangoli , in his complaint filed last month, reportedly said Pancholi's wife, actress Zarina Wahab, was also aware of the incidents that occurred between Ranaut and Pancholi.
Siddique stated that the complaint filed by them at the post Versova's police force was confidential and he could not talk about it. "Rangoli said:" I do not want to talk about the complaint yet. "
