Plus, I'm curious and excited to see what the statue looks like, and I'm sure this moment will be a bit strange and surreal. When I saw a picture of Mahesh Babu with his statue, I could not understand the real person (laughs). I am happy that they thought I deserved a wax statue. I am delighted to be here and to be part of this experience. I'm sure it will be good.
In addition to your popularity and popularity, what does it mean to have a statue?
To begin, it will last a while, probably longer than I live (smiles). . Honestly, I feel that this should represent my job. Madame Tussaud does not want to appear on the list for reasons such as: "He looks great in a suit and his photos are good." These are not my priorities in life. It's nice to look good. If they feel that I have done an important job, that it should be recognized, it is an excellent compliment. It is very encouraging and I am very grateful.
You have completed 16 years as an actor. Have you become more mature and aware of things?
I have changed a lot. When I think back to my journey, I feel that God has been very kind to me for giving me the opportunity to learn. I made a lot of mistakes and learned from them. God helped me understand things, but slowly. It's very important to have ups and downs. And the most important is to learn to be [the difference between] a boy for a man. I can feel my journey inside. Today, I am a completely different person from what I was before, even five years ago.
Your trip to Kabir Singh was very well received.
I think the character's tone and attitude, as well as the depth and intensity of his love and anguish, are what people find unique and different. When I saw Arjun Reddy, I also felt overwhelmed by these elements. It was therefore essential to keep them, but we also wanted to rediscover the piece to make it ours and turn it into an original piece. Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh may be cousins, but they are not the same. People should feel like they have seen a different man.
A certain nervousness, especially since the trade considers that it is an important film for you?
That's what I've been hearing for 15 years now (smiles). So, I do not mind. Instead, I try to focus on how I can give my best shot to the room. I have been in the industry for 15 years and I am happy with my situation. Whether praise or criticism, I will not let any of these things touch me.
Your son, Zain, is now eight months old. As a father, you must have your hands full and Misha is also present?
J & # 39; love. I am a workaholic. Since I have children, I have had long periods of work followed by big breaks. In a way, God has managed my life for me. So he kept me busy for 4 or 5 months and then gave me a break of 2 or 3 months, where I also discovered my new movies, my new looks and so on. I feel lucky to have had the time to bond with my children. One of the most problematic issues for actors is that our work hours are unpredictable and time consuming. Who of the family is most excited about your wax statue?
Everyone, including my wife, in-laws and my parents. They all had a big smile when they learned about it. They were like, "Oh, that's great." All had a real reaction of happiness and surprise. As for Misha and Zain, we do not intend to take them for the unveiling of the statue. If not, they might think, "Wow, what just happened?", Seeing two dads could be a traumatic experience (laughs). Honestly, I was a little worried because, when you personally love a movie, you do not want to ruin everything (laughs). When it comes to comparisons, as an actor, you want to give people an equally enjoyable experience, and even try to come up with something new and surprising. And I focused on that. And honestly, I do not really focus on other areas, because I can only do my best as an actor. It's in my hands. Baaki sab baatein chalti rahti hai. For me, criticism is worth as much as appreciation. And I agree with everything people say.
Is your interpretation of the character similar or different?
The idea was not to look like someone else or something else [film]. For Hindi filmgoers, it will be a completely new experience. Keeping this in mind, there are some adjustments and modifications in addition to a few small nuanced changes due to a socio-cultural difference [between Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh]. But the director [Sandeep Reddy Vanga] is the same and the idea was to work with the same man, who created the magic in Arjun Reddy. It includes the soul and heart of the film and the character. We worked hard to keep it, but we still make a new film.
Discussions suggest you work less to spend time with your family now.
It's not like I'm working less, but time management needs to be better. I guess everyone who gets married and has kids would want to do it. A little earlier, I would never be comfortable at home. But now, since I'm not always on the set, I spend a lot of time with my kids and that's very important. I am happy and would like to continue like this. I would never want to be in a situation where I could not see my children. This is something for which I am very grateful.
