Somewhere in the middle of the Moroccan desert lies the "Elderberry", which is "higher" Than the "High Table "which is behind all the bloodshed around the world in John Wick's films. Parabellum is immersed in such badociations, with the elder dressed in a flowing silk brocade dress in a tent in the hot sand, Sofia (Berry, lost) surrounding Moroccan trinkets in Casablanca and many hand-to-hand fighting in the film, involving not only East Asian actors, but also taking place in Chinatowns.
By the way, from the John Wick series, directed by former stuntman (The Matrix) Stahelski believes that it is important not to bump. , or hold an account, or show mercy. These are surprisingly choreographed sequences, longer than any you've seen, remarkable for their clarity and precision, and their total lack of hesitation to inflict bodily harm. There is here an allusion to the similarity of this jousting – fighting to its most carnal – with the discipline, balance and self-punishment of a ballet. Huston is encouraged by the short but persistent role of the director, among other things, of one of these ballets.
The dialogue is virtually nonexistent, especially when it comes to Wick. When they speak, it means "Art is painful, life is suffering" … and we then mark a man with an iron, or we leave a chain of thoughts on " the true origin of the word badbadin ". Meanwhile, the high table seems to be running from a fully populated office of young men and women tattooed who keep their face straight through statements such as Wick being "excommunicado" (hence the opening on him) to places " desecrated "dial phone to communicate while frolicking with the latest guns.
Writers fiddle with the idea of authority, independence, control and choice. But wisely, do not impose yourself too much, staying true to the essential purpose of this franchise: showcasing Reeves as much as you can.
However, there is a character that is very similar to his most important role, that of Neo in Matrix. which illuminates them all. Dillon plays "the umpire" who, as a mediator between the high table and delinquents such as Wick, only has to enter a room in his high-heeled boots, gloves to the hand, a mysterious smile, demanding "fidelity", to send shivers down the spine. None of this knife shot her for her.
To question us, Parabellum is a Latin word for "getting ready for war," the men led by Winston (a suave McShane) being convinced that it is "what is needed" for peace ". McShane resumes his role as manager of the Continental hotel in New York, a place of great importance for the high table. But while men are at war, the referee knows what ultimately brings peace. She suggests a "parade".
P.S .: Before his own slaughter, for a brief moment, Wick seems to have a thought. "What is the interest of $ 14 million if you do not live to enjoy it," he asks one of his attackers. What indeed?
