Nitin Gadkari and actor Vivek Oberoi launch the new poster of "PM Narendra Modi"

The Minister of the Union Nitin Gadkari on Monday launched a new poster of PM Narendra Modi Biographical document on the Prime Minister, accompanied by the actor Vivek Oberoi in Nagpur, reported ANI. The film will be released on May 24, a day after the count of votes cast in the Lok Sabha elections.

The director Omung Kumar B tweeted: "In India, all great things start with conch. Here we present the new poster of #PMNarendraModi. "The film retraces the life of Modi until the 2014 general elections, which the Bharatiya Janata party won with a clear majority.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ab abra rahe hai dobara. Ab koi rok nahi sakta [Now, PM Narendra Modi is returning to power, now no one can stop him] ", reads on the new poster.

The film's release was originally scheduled for April 5, but the date was later postponed to April 11, the day of the first phase of the Lok Sabha poll. Opposition parties had complained about the film to the judicial authorities and the electoral body, claiming that it was a propaganda vehicle for the BJP in power.

The electoral commission had suspended the publication of the biopic on April 10. The voting body had ruled that the posting of material promoting a political figure would go against the fundamental principle of the standard code of conduct which is to create a level playing field for all.

Film contest the ban on the polling station and the Supreme Court decides to hear the suspension of the publication on April 12. The Supreme Court then asks the electoral commission to watch the film and reconsider its position.

The polling station submitted a report to the Supreme Court, stating that a public screening of the film during the current elections "would tip the electoral balance". A committee set up by the polling commission had viewed the entire film and submitted the report.

Subsequently, the Supreme Court rejected the argument of the film producers contesting the ban on the film by the Electoral Commission. Judges Deepan Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna, India 's Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, and Justices Deepk Gupta, said that they would not interfere in this case.
