The Rajasthan High Court Jodhpur Court on Monday issued new notices to actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bender, Neelam Kothari and Tabu in the poaching case in 1998 following an appeal by the state government against their acquittal A judge judge Judge Manoj Garg addressed opinions to the actors following an appeal by the Government of Rajasthan against their acquittal by the court of the Chief Judge (CJM) April 5th.

A notice was also sent to Dushyant Singh, who allegedly accompanied the actors during poaching.

Judge Garg ordered that the case be scheduled for hearing eight weeks later.

On March 11, the High Court issued a notice to the five defendants challenging the government's appeal of the acquittal in the case.

The CJM court sentences Salman Khan, Bollywood star, under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, to a five-year prison term and a fine of. 10,000 after being convicted of the murder of two blackbucks in Jodhpur during the shooting of his blockbuster "Hum Saath Saath Hain" of 1998.

The appeal of Salman Khan, who is on bail, is pending before the High Court.

The trial court had acquitted its co-stars – Saif, Sonali, Neelam and Tabu, as well as Dushyant Singh for lack of evidence.
