Description of the story?
WWE superstar Drew McIntyre attacks Roman Reigns in tonight's attack on SmackDown Live.
McIntyre he stated that after not having had any opportunity under the universal title, he had aligned himself with Shane McMahon to help at the summit.
In case you do not know that …
Drew McIntyre has gone from being a player to a star to becoming one of the most hated heels on the list of WWE players. His 3MB are in history books and he is now looking for greener pastures.
McIntyre possesses the basic skills and skills required to get to the main event. He then defeated Seth Rollins at Monday Night Raw on the road to WrestleMania 35, where he eventually beat Brock Lesnar to become the champion.
McIntyre was featured in a scoring match at the Show of Shows against Roman Reigns.
The heart of the matter
Roman Reigns defeated Elias tonight at SmackDown Live but was attacked by Shane McMahon after the match. Reigns managed to get the upper hand, but Raw's Drew McIntyre attacked him by surprise
McIntyre later explained his actions in an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview.
I know that everyone has many questions to ask. I will make things really simple. I have been back on Raw for more than a year. I've been running all over the world, I've kicked myself. I was the last person to have pinned Seth Rollins before winning the World Championship at WrestleMania.
Guess how many opportunities I have had as such … ZERO! So at MITB, I have the chance to get my hands on the contract, put the power back in my hands. Well, Brock Lesnar has excluded me from that too. So now, I have a business alliance with Shane McMahon. Why? Because it works for him, it works for me. And as a bonus, I will be able to finish Roman Reigns.
Next Steps
It is clear that Reigns and McIntyre are far from being one for the other. It would be interesting to see what happens at the next Super ShowDown event, where Reigns will face Shane McMahon.
What do you think of McIntyre's attack on Reigns?
