The CBFC asked Raj Kumar Gupta to remove references to Gita and the Qur'an in the film, which the manufacturers did. When the director of the raid was questioned about it, he said that such changes would remove the entire process of narration. He added: "There is a scene that was written for a certain context in the film and there is an impact derived from that or some reality is portrayed."
Gupta testified that CBFC told them that such scenes could be hurtful. religious feelings and decision-makers did not want to do that. So when they were told to shoot these scenes, they voluntarily did and re-submitted the film.
