Aishwarya Rai Bachchan confirms the next film with Mani Ratnam | Tamil Movie News

We previously reported that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had been badociated with the casting of the famous film adaptation of Mani Ratnam, a film adaptation of the clbadic period novel, Ponniyin Selvan. Although there has been no official confirmation on this subject so far, the latest one is that Aishwarya herself has confirmed the speculative report at Cannes 2019.

In an interaction after walking the red carpet at Cannes in 2019, she stated that even though Mani Ratnam did not officially announce it himself, the word came out. Aishwarya is committed to working with him. She added that she would always be more than happy, excited, overwhelmed, humbled and happy to work with her guru, Mani.

It seems that the film's story takes place in the 10th century, before Raja Chola became king. Aishwarya will be considered Nandini, the wife of Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar, who was Chancellor and Treasurer of the Kingdom of Chola.

Featured actors include Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Keerthy Suresh, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Mohan Babu. Vikram would play Aditya Karikalan, Karthi, Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan, Jayam Ravi, Raja Raja Chola I, Keerthy Suresh, Kundavai and Mohan Babu, as Periya Pazhuvettarayar.

To be financed by a large budget by Lyca Productions, the film was shipped for the project, much of which will be used for visual effects. The preparation work for this film is currently underway and it is expected that it will be released soon.
