Rolls-Royce presented its latest collection car, the Wraith Eagle VIII, at the Eleganza Villa d'Este Concorso. Limited to 50 units, this hand-crafted model celebrates the essential transatlantic voyage of Sir Henry Royce's contemporaries, who piloted a Rolls-Royce-powered aircraft in June 1919.

Contemporary Captain Sir Henry Royce John Albad and Lieutenant Arthur Brown flew nonstop from St. John's (Newfoundland) to Clifden (Ireland) in a modified World War I bomber, Vickers Vimy. The biplane was powered by two Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII engines of 20.3 liters and 350 hp. It is from this remarkable engine that this collection gets its name. Rolls-Royce marks 100 years of this feat with a very contemporary collection that speaks to today's adventurers, while paying tribute to those who have changed the course of history.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith Eagle VIII features a distinctive gray two-tone paint with a brbad line. The limited edition model includes black grille vanes and the alloy wheels have a translucent shaded finish.

As for the interior, the driver's side door is adorned with a copper plate on which is cited the quote from Sir Winston Churchill, which highlights the achievements of the duo of pilots who have crossed the immense expanse of the Atlantic. The speakers get a brbad finish and a clock with a glossy background effect that gives a dim green light in the dark. The vehicle comes with one of the finest leather coatings and a high-end finish with attention to detail.

Mechanically, the Rolls-Royce Wraith Eagle VIII is powered by the standard 6.6 liter V12 engine of the Wraith. The V12 unit produces 624 horsepower.
