The father of Ajay Devgn and Veeru Devgan, director of Veteran Stunts, died Monday. Many Bollywood celebrities went to the Ajay residence to offer their condolences. Hrithik Roshan was also seen today.
Ajay Devgn's father and veteran stunt director, Veerun Devgan, died Monday. Apparently, he succumbed to cardiac arrest. Devgan, 85, breathed his last breath in a hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital after complaining of shortness of breath earlier in the morning. As soon as the news of Veeru Devgan's death was announced, members of the Bollywood fraternity took advantage of their social networking accounts to pay tribute. The funeral was held at the Vile Parle West Crematorium on Monday night. Many Bollywood celebrities went to the Ajay residence to offer their condolences.
Actors such as John Abraham, Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan, the Bachchan family, Karan Johar, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny and Bobby Deol, among others, have been spotted. Speaking of Veeru Devgn, he has done action choreography for such films as Dilwale, Himmatwale and Shahenshah, among others. He also directed the 1999 film Hindustan Ki Kasam featuring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala and Sushmita Sen, among others. The accomplished action director has worked for more than 80 Hindi films.
It is he who introduced Ajay in the movies with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991. Many do not know that Veeru Devgan has also starred in such films as Kranti, Saurabh and Singhasan. He was recently seen during the screening of his son, Total Dhamaal.
