AEW took d & Storm the world of wrestling while Double or Nothing was a stellar show. Everyone was waiting to see the answer from WWE. Vince McMahon's company had to deliver a big episode of the red brand but it did not meet expectations. It was a mediocre show with long segments and regular matches.
Baron Corbin became the number one contender in the Universal Championship after defeating Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman and The Miz. Ricochet faced Cesaro in a rematch of last week and it was certainly the best match of the evening. Shane McMahon dismantled one of Roman Reigns' cousins, but the Big Dog came out to the rescue.
The new American champion, Rey Mysterio, gave up the belt after being injured, while Seth Rollins beat Sami Zayn. Becky Lynch and Nikki Cross teamed up to beat the IIconics. In addition, Dolph Ziggler appeared on RAW and attacked Kofi Kingston. Ziggler also had a mbadive fight with Xavier Woods. Brock Lesnar appeared on RAW and the Beast was very fun with his box of animals.
Here we discuss three things that WWE secretly told us Monday night at RAW this week.
# 3 Lacey Evans could have a rematch at Stomping Grounds
RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch teamed up with Nikki Cross this week. The two women faced Team II Teams Team Tag Team Champions. The Man pinned Peyton Royce to seal a win for his team, but Lacey Evans came in after the game. It is clear that the company will expand the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans.
The Sbady Southern Belle and The Man started the rivalry after the Show of Shows. They intensified before meeting at Money in the Bank. Lynch defeated Evans to retain the RAW female title.
The rivalry has drawn the attention of the WWE universe. Evans is a shiny heel that creates nuclear heat. For his part, Lynch is currently a fan favorite. Sbady Southern Belle could argue for the most coveted female award of the red mark and the two women could compete at Stomping Grounds next month.
