Recently, a video of Vidya appeared on the internet in which she explained the problem of body shame and shared a strong message with the help of popular Hindi movie songs.

She begins by singing: "Kabhi you moti kahta hai, kabhi to chhoti kahta hai …" and slowly, she becomes sad and moved. We see the actress "Kahaani" in a black sari with a dupatta wrapped around to hide her body. It addresses questions about how jokes target the physical appearance, eyes, color and height of a person's skin and how they have a lasting impact on that person's life. In the end, the actress throws her dupatta to stand confident in her black-and-white striped sari and hair left open. The video became viral on the Internet and fans could not help but congratulate the actress for her courage and confidence.
