Godzilla: The King of Monsters is almost a big hit movie. It contains all the ingredients you need: spectacular Kaiju action, frantic pace, some awesome hero moments for our protagonist and even a bit of history to explore its origins. But as in all movies Transformers there are dumb human beings in the movie that make the overall experience fall. If you could wear cinematic blinkers to ignore human matter, you'll enjoy this movie. But if you are expecting something unforgettable, get ready to be slightly disappointed.

Godzilla: The Monster King's Movie Reviewer: Humans Play the Mess in this Epic Titan Clash

The film traces five years after the events of the restart of Gareth Edwards Godzilla . We meet Mark (Kyle Chandler), separated from his wife Emma (Vera Farmiga) and his daughter Madisson (Millie Bobbie Brown) because of a personal tragedy involving Godzilla. The world woke up to the presence of the Titans, although Godzilla himself has been MIA for quite some time. But of course, some stupid humans decide to wake up other frozen Titans at various sites around the world, and Godzilla has to come back to fix the mess of stupid humans.

This opus is directed by Michael Dougherty, who had previously made the film absolutely great Trick r Treat and Krampus. B . a series of blockbuster moments that only work intermittently. Whenever a scene takes place on a wide shot of the Kaijus in action, your jaws tend to fall, as there are 300 as hero moments and you want the whole movie to have been shot that way. Unfortunately, most monster fights are shot in the dark, rain and close-ups, so it's hard to know what's going on. There is no doubt that the design of the monsters and the introduction of Godzilla's ultimate enemy are spectacular. Once again, there are moments that hold the promise of monster designs, but they are unimportant because of the actions of the humans around them. Thus, Kong: Skull Island was a better movie because the silly decisions of stupid humans do not hurt the terrible skirmishes of Kaiju.

Ken Watanabe gets the best human silly fragments – if you liked that they're fighting with the movie from the 2014 movie, this movie is packed with much slimmer replicas of his own, and he succeeds in One way or another to convince you. An entire film Godzilla seen from his point of view would have been perfect instead of the too serious soap opera between the mundane suburban family that we finally have. In fact, this film required a treatment similar to that of the magisterial Dawn of the Planet of the Ape where Godzilla, Mothra and Ghidorah had their own soap opera and humans were named for what they were . – Dumbos screechy.

There is a good hidden movie inside of it, and the changes made by YouTube fans could probably rework it into something much more interesting. Having watched the movie in IMAX 2D and still having trouble deciphering the action, I wonder how difficult it would be to enjoy it in 3D. The excitement of the upcoming film Godzilla vs Kong did not diminish, due in part to the threat level that a large gorilla could pose to Godzilla after being hit by a dragon in three heads. Maybe Godzilla and Kong unite to fight a common enemy: silly human characters.
