In recent years, Kollywood has been bombarded by horror comedies. Some of them have already worked a lot, like the franchise Kanchana . Devi 2, directed by Vijay, with Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah in the lead, is the sequel to the previous film of the team, which was rude on average. A large number of such films have failed. It appears from the absence of history that Devi 2 had to be written on the spot in Mauritius, after the producer had the dates of their main actors . There is a parallel track involving Nandita Swetha and Dimple Hayathi, which has no relevance to the main events. The two special appearances of the famous comedian RJ Balaji and Bollywood actor Sonu Sood have little impact.
While Tamannaah's act goes far beyond the bounds, Kovai Sarala is a lady who lives in an eternal fear of ghosts talking gibberish. That said, Devi 1 was way better than the sequel because with a run time of 125 minutes, the movie seems stretched. Vijay, at the end of the film, alludes to a third part. There you go! …
