It was a moment of surprise and excitement when the actor turned director, Ramesh Pisharody, shook hands with Mohanlal just before launching his next film with Mammootty. Mohanlal wished good luck to Pisharody and left before it later lit up his next film "Ganagandharvan" on Saturday in Kochi.
The new Ramesh Pisharody movie with Mammootty in the lead was announced last year and the beginning of the team began shooting. The female role will be interpreted by the newcomer Vanditha.
While the script is composed jointly by Pisharody and Hari P Nair, cinematography is provided by Alagappan and editing by Lijo Paul. The music department is headed by Deepak Dev.
Ramesh Pisharody debuted as a director with the Malayalam movie Panchavarnathatha starring Jayaram in the lead.
Meanwhile, Mammootty is waiting for the release of Unda which will be released on the screens Thursday. Mammootty recently completed the big-budget Maamaankam film directed by filmmaker Padma Kumar.
