Ajay Devgn seized his Twitter account and wrote, "My mother and the whole Devgan family are deeply touched and humiliated by the silence of this thoughtful gesture by our honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi.

Veeru suffered from respiratory problems, after which he was immediately admitted to Surya hospital in Santa Cruz. However, his condition became critical and he suffered a cardiac arrest.
