The movie "Bala" by Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana recently made headlines when Kamal Kant Chandra filed a criminal complaint under Articles 420 (cheating) and 406 (breach of trust) against Lead actor Ayushmann
and decision makers.

According to Ayushmann's team of lawyers – "What has been communicated to you is an erroneous factual misconception of the true facts, particularly with respect to the April 9, 2019 proceeding. In fact, Mr. Chandra also moved the Bombay High Court on vacation (May 29) in this regard and did not benefit from any relief. In any event, the case being pending and since the next hearing date is June 10, 2019, we are no longer commenting. In any case, our scenario is original and we will show it to the court when the issue comes up.

According to Chandra, at the last hearing, the lawyers representing the trio had lied in court stating that the film was still in the scriptwriting stage. He also spoke about Khurrana's Whatsapp messages, dating back to 2017, when he had expressed interest in the concept of the film. He further baderted that he had registered his concept with the Screen Writers' Association in 2016, while his script had been recorded in 2018.
