Last weekend, the first event of All Elite Wrestling, Double or Nothing, kept its promises. It was a resounding success. Many fans then wondered how the WWE would react. The typical lethargic presentation of Raw and SmackDown did not inspire much confidence that Vince McMahon's titan would begin to change his habits. The initiative would be left, as usual, to NXT.

NXT TakeOver: XXV opened with the badurance that it was "the real alternative". The target of the beard was obvious.

Rumors circulating that the AEW broadcast on TNT will land on Wednesdays instead of Tuesday's next fall, it seems likely (from now on) that the idea original of Triple H. viewer. The NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff announcement, which will take place on the same day as All Out, was very clear. In this sense, NXT is at the forefront of WWE.

So, how did the two fight each other in their first battle? Compare and compare the two emissions in a few key areas.

Production

Double or nothing had a better stage. Poker chips were a beautiful aesthetic that hammered the theme of the show. WWE does not do that anymore (unless it comes in the form of placing things everywhere to create a PPV gimmick), even with NXT. Double entry tunnels were also a good idea.

Nevertheless, if there is one thing that WWE still manages to do well, it is video production. The promotions on TakeOver to present the matches were better than at Double or Nothing.

There is also the problem of the annoying ringing in the joshi match, which was actually preceded by a video flub presenting the wrong person. [19659017] AEW will improve with show production over time, but WWE is still ahead of that area.
