In an interview, when Sandeep Vanga was quizzed Shahid Kapoor was the original choice for the film, he confirmed that the producers of the film had approached Arjun Kapoor for the role. "Yeah, but before that Shahid and I were already in talks, so I was not able to do anything about the commitment," informed Sandeep Vanga. While Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will be seen on Kiara, the director said that she is 'extremely professional' and 'understood the character well'.
