Alec Frazier on Robert Pattinson and his cast in Batman …
Recently, it was confirmed that Robert Pattinson was playing the next Batman of Warner Bros. Entertainment. He is an extremely talented actor and I wish him the best. However, there has been a lot of dislike for it. Some of the opposition has been reasonable, but most have simply been hateful and malicious.
Much of the negative feelings with respect to Robert Pattinson stems from the ignorance of his acting career. A decade ago, he starred in a series of love movies in which a young woman falls in love with someone who happens to be a vampire. This, of course, is The Twilight Saga . However, since then, Pattinson has mostly been underground and has played in countless independent films. Its detractors act as if these films did not exist. They may be excused for not knowing these films, provided they reserve their judgment until they have researched and, hopefully, watched some of these works. However, these critics do not reserve judgment and criticize Pattinson for his role in Twilight a decade ago.
The films that Pattinson has played since are truly remarkable. There is an old novel called Remember Me which examines the value of relationships in the here and now and the importance of living each day with dignity and enthusiasm. There is an adventure film on exploration in the Amazon titled The Lost City of Z in which Pattinson plays a role in a team in search of a hidden lost civilization at background of the jungle. There is an amazing thriller called Good Time in which Pattinson plays a dirty, gritty and dubious character who engages in a night filled with serious faults in order to get his brother out of jail. There is a horror / horror film called High Life in the space, which speaks of an isolated spacecraft filled with hardened criminals and deep psychological conflicts. which ensues. Robert Pattinson is more than a pretty face and has described a group of extremely diverse characters very well. Critics agree that this one has given him endless rewards and praise. Do not judge him simply on the basis of a franchise that he created more than a decade ago, this judgment is mediocre.
Pattinson has received many honors from critics, filmmakers and filmmakers. He received at least five ovations at the Cannes Film Festival. In fact, the quality of his work since Twilight has been so meticulously interpreted, so fully embodied and so incredibly good that one could actually say he is too good to play a franchise character like Batman . Nevertheless, all his works of the last years were realized by directors for whom he specifically chose to work, and The Batman is no exception. Therefore, Pattinson must have absolute confidence in the team of directors to achieve high quality work. And, of course, the team must believe in him.
Some of you may remember thirty years ago when Warner Bros. caused a sensation. Michael Keaton as Batman, a related person best known as a scatological ghost in Beetlejuice . Likewise, people may remember the hustle and bustle of Warner Bros. by making Heath Ledger the Joker, better known as Wannabe Knight in A Knight's Tale . Both performances were great. Pattinson's range of emotions is truly fantastic and he has been involved in a wide variety of genres and has understood them all, including the western science fiction ( Damsel ), ( High Life ), romance ( Remember Me ), LGBTQ ( Little Ashes ), drama of the time ( Bel Ami ), adventure ( The lost city of Z ]), thriller ( Good Time ) and even a dystopia ( The Rover ).
Pattinson has shown a great variety of talent and immeasurable talent, but people seem persevering. the lambaste for a series of supernatural romance that he did ten years ago. It's like saying that growth and change in people are not possible, which we all know is hogwash. The Twilight Saga was or was not a quality entertainment, it is not more revealing of the whole work of Pattinson than An interview with a vampire does not indicate the all of Brad Pitt's work. Pattinson has shown immense talent for interpreting a wide variety of characters and emotions. Do not make an ill-informed judgment and categorically deny that Pattinson can play The Batman. Instead, throw out the preconceptions and make an informed judgment.
