Bharat, by Ali Abbas Zafar, promises us a moving adventure about five decades. He promises a great success, Eid, to the fans of Salman Khan. Ali keeps his promises, an emotional saga turned to Bharat (Salman) and his promise to his father (Jackie Shroff). Salman's engaging role in the film, backed by strong performances by Sunil Grover, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and Tabu (in one scene), is what makes Bharat get the right chords in spite of its length. But again, what better than two hours and thirty-five minutes of non-stop entertainment from Bhai on Eid? Best Eidi, is not it? Not only fans, even celebrities are in agreement.
Last night, a swarm of Bollywood celebrities attended the special screening of Bharat in Mumbai. From Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon to Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday and Khushi Kapoor, among others, came to attend the screening. While Sunil Shetty presented this performance as Salman's best performance, Mouni said everyone who watches Bharat will fall in love with Salman again. Ananya Panday and Janhvi also praised the film, while Ishaan called it "emotional saga".
Bharat also recorded the highest advance booking this year and if only Hindi movies are taken into account, it is the third best advance of all time after Thugs of Hindostan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Bharat is the official adaptation of a Korean film under the name of An Ode to My Father.
