Sajal Aly began her acting journey when she played a minor role in an episode of the 2009 Nadaaniyaan drama. She had her break with the 2011 family drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain and is known for his phenomenal performances in such series as Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein, Sitamgar, Meri Ladli, Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Gul-e-Rana to name a few.
Sajal debuts in Bollywood with the movie Sridevi Starrer Mom. This film is a crime thriller directed by Ravi Udyawar, based on a screenplay written by Girish Kohli. Sajal played the role of Sridevi's daughter-in-law, Arya, who has trouble accepting her as the new lady of the house. When Arya is raped by a group of guys, Sridevi embarks on a journey to do justice to her daughter-in-law.
The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui in key roles.
