Aftab Singh, 12, wins the rising star 3; Wants to sing for Salman Khan

A 12-year-old Punjab singer, Aftab Singh, was announced winner of the reality show Rising Star 3 on Saturday night. He says he's a big fan of superstar Salman Khan and that he wants to sing for him someday.

"I'm on Cloud 9. I did not even expect to be part of the finalists – it's like a dream come true – this win means a lot to me," Aftab told IANS.

Aftab, the youngest of the three other finalists, won the winning trophy and Rs 10 lakh money prize.

By winning the show, Aftab would like to dedicate this triumph to his father.
