Tom Hiddleston as Loki in Thor: Ragnarok

We have a preview of the mini-series Tom Hiddleston-star, which is expected to debut on Disney + in 2020-2021, thanks to new images from the Disney Investor Meeting in April, where all of its affiliates – Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm, National Geographic and Disney itself – have announced what they would bring to the streaming service in the first two years following its launch in the US in November, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, was naturally at hand with their offers, which include exclusive previews (at least in the US) for all future movies Ma rvel, including Avengers: Endgame, as well as for several mini-series that will be connected to the Marvel film universe, such as Loki.

Shroud l Movies and series: What will phase 4 of the MCU look like

The first glimpse of the Disney Loki series + – visible in a fuzzy state behind Feige in the picture below – suggests that the Hiddleston's character will travel back in time, provided you read Jaws on a theater display panel in the background, and the vintage cars he stands next to. This means that part of the Loki miniseries will take place in the mid-1970s, while Jaws was in the cinemas. The presence of Loki in the seventies raises interesting questions. This decade has remained largely unexplored on the MCU's big screen, apart from a single visit to Endgame in 1970 by Iron Man and Captain America to recover the Tesseract / Space Stone and Pym particles.

Is it possible that this Loki traveling back in time was the one who seized the Tesseract during Endgame and has escaped through a wormhole? This reality should cease to exist as soon as Captain America moves back in time and places the Tesseract in its place, but Marvel Studios is still fertile ground for exploring wild scenarios. As the Loki Disney + series is not marketed until at least the end of next year, it may take a while to find out. Hope we will get something before that.

Loki is one of three Marvel series currently under development at Disney +, alongside The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which will arrive in 2019-2020, and WandaVision, after Scarlet Witch and the Vision, releasing 2020- 2021. A fourth, centered on Hawkeye, has been reported but unconfirmed.
