Kabir Singh underwent many casting changes from Ranveer Singh to Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria for the lead role for the film, but finally Shahid and Kiara were finally finalized.
Kiara, Sandeep approached her through a casting agent after watching her performance in the telugu film Bharat Ane Nenu, in which she starred in Mahesh Babu.
