A few hours after the hacking of the Bollywood megastar Twitter account, Amitabh Bachchan, the account of singer Adnan Sami on the microblogging site was also hacked. The group that hacked Bachchan's account also seems to be behind the piracy of Sami's account.
Similar to the way in which the profile picture of Bachchan was replaced by that of the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, the hackers also. changed Sami's picture with Khan's. The group identified itself as a Turkish Ayyildiz Tim.
The group also changed Sami's biographical information and wrote 'Ayyildiz Tim Love Pakistan' before adding emojis of Pakistani and Turkish flags as well as a heart. They posted several tweets with the pinned tweet that reads: "Anyone who shows the courage to betray our brother country, Pakistan, knows that you will see the picture of the Pakistani prime minister and the Pakistan flag as a profile picture. Ayyildiz tim @ImranKhanPTI. "
Adnan Sami has more than six lakh followers on Twitter.
Reacting to the hacking of Bachchan's Twitter account, the pro Mumbai policeman said, "We have informed our cyberunits and Maharashtra Cyber about the hateful Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan. They investigate the matter. Other updates are expected. "
At the time of writing this story, Sami 's account was being restored. All tweets have been removed, but Imran Khan's profile picture and cover image have not been removed.
The hacking of Sami's account has made Pakistani social media users visibly happy by thanking the pirates.
