But will "improve" their appearance before launch.

When the Marvel Avengers made their debut at E3 2019, the designs of the five heroes were heavily criticized by online fans, their main complaint being that they looked like a pale imitation of the Avengers MCU on which they were clearly based. Some have explained that the faces of the Avengers created a "supernatural valley" effect, as they seemed to have some degrees of lag compared to the actors who played them on the screen. Other items include Captain America's oversized suit inspired by riot gear and the dreary records that suggest Thor has a sound system mounted on his chest.

IGN spoke with Crystal Dynamics' artistic director, Shaun Escayg. negative response from the community and he was adamant that the designs would not be changed.

"We are always listening and feedback from our community is welcome. There is currently no intention to change the conceptions of our characters, "said Escayg.

Escayg later pointed out that the characters' designs would not be altered, but that the game was still in its infancy and that it would be more sophisticated before it was released.

"The trailer features pre-alpha gameplay, which means that the level of detail and overall refinement of the character models will continue to improve as we approach the launch, "explained Escayg.
