Filmmaker Rohit Shetty was the target of incessant trolls on Thursday for agreeing to change the planned release date of his film Sooryavanshi to welcome Salman Khan's next release in the year of 'Eid Inshallah. While his decision earned him many congratulations from Salman, netizens, mostly BJP fans, seemed furious while they tended to say, "Shame on you Rohit Shetty" on Twitter.
Salman recently announced his next collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Inshallah, also starring Alia Bhatt. The film will be Salman's next release for Eid since he knows his big project has to come out during the Muslim holiday. Alia had come on Instagram to announce " Agli Eid, Inshallah."
Rohit had also announced that his next big project, Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar, would be in cinemas next year. But after Salman announced the date of his film, Rohit would have agreed to change the release date to March 27, at least two months before the originally announced date. Salman spoke to Twitter to thank Rohit for his kind gesture. He wrote: "I have always thought of him as my younger brother and today, he proves it … #RohitShetty Sooryavanshi issued his press release on March 27, 2020."

Roh replied to Instagram, "You can compete with the world but not with your family … See you soon Chulbul Pandey !!! "
While Salman and Rohit displayed extraordinary camaraderie, Twitter's trolls, mostly supporters of Akshay Kumar, considered a BJP pro, did not react. Thanks to Rohit for his decision to change the date of his film.
